    Scope of Position

    The Housing Case Manager will:

    • Maintain a reduced caseload (approximately 8–12 households)
    • Support housing stability through short-term financial assistance and service coordination
    • Collaborate with housing team members to ensure program compliance and client progress
    • Client Engagement and Case Management
    • Conduct intakes and assist with eligibility determination
    • Maintain regular contact with assigned households
    • Develop and monitor housing stabilization/service plans
    • Provide referrals to supportive services (DV counseling, benefits, employment, childcare, etc.)

    The key responsibility are broken down as follows:

    • Housing Search and Placement
      • Assist clients with identifying and applying for housing
      • Support landlord communication and unit coordination
      • Assist with lease-up process and required documentation
      • Coordinate with team on inspections and housing approvals
    • Documentation and Compliance
      • Maintain accurate and timely case records
      • Collect required documentation (leases, IDs, income verification, inspections)
      • Enter data into required systems (e.g., Clarity, internal databases)
      • Ensure compliance with OHS and funder requirements
    • Financial Coordination
      • Assist with rental assistance requests and documentation
      • Coordinate with supervisor and finance staff on payments
      • Support clients with understanding rent responsibilities and budgeting
    • Team Collaboration
      • Participate in regular supervision and team meetings
      • Collaborate with housing staff to address barriers to housing placement
      • Support overall program operations as needed
    • Shared Responsibilities
      • Participate in scheduled DV hotline coverage
      • Assist with intake and walk-in coverage as needed
      • Support general program needs across housing services

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in social work or related field preferred, or equivalent experience
    • Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, or housing instability preferred
    • Strong organizational and documentation skills
    • Ability to manage a part-time caseload independently
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism

    Proficient in English (reading/writing/verbal communication), Bilingual English and Spanish preferred. Bilingual hires compensated commensurately.
