    Descrição

Mentor Consultant : Oregon Infant Mental Health Association (ORIMHA)

    Remote: Oregon-based | Full-time 30-plus hours per week

    Why This Work Matters

The earliest relationships shape lifelong well-being.

At ORIMHA, we support the professionals who support infants, toddlers, and families across Oregon. This role plays a critical part in strengthening that workforce through reflection, connection, and thoughtful practice.

Your work will extend beyond individual conversations, helping build a more connected, skilled, and supported system of care for Oregon’s youngest children.

    About ORIMHA

The Oregon Infant Mental Health Association ORIMHA is a statewide nonprofit dedicated to supporting the emotional health and well-being of Oregon’s infants, toddlers, and their families.

We achieve this through a network of parents and professionals committed to advancing infant mental health principles across the state. Through Endorsement, Reflective Supervision, and training, we help build a connected, skilled, and thoughtful workforce across Oregon, grounded in infant mental health principles and committed to equity, relationships, and long-term impact.

    About the Role

The Mentor Consultant supports Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Consultants (IECMHC) across Oregon through reflective consultation, coaching, and professional development. This role focuses on strengthening practice quality, building consultant capacity, and modeling culturally responsive and culturally sustaining, equity-centered approaches in early childhood mental health consultation.

The Mentor Consultant collaborates closely with the Mentor Consultant Coordinator and other Mentor Consultants to ensure consistency and high-quality service delivery across regions.

    What You Will Do

    Reflective Consultation and Mentorship

    • Provide reflective consultation and coaching to IECMH Consultants, individually and in small groups
    • Support onboarding and development of new consultants
    • Model culturally responsive and culturally sustaining, trauma-informed, and equity-centered practices, integrating cultural values and lived experiences into consultation and relationship-building

    Training and Practice Development

    • Contribute to training content, tools, and practice resources
    • Facilitate or support communities of practice and learning spaces
    • Help strengthen consistency and quality across consultation approaches

    Program and System Support

    • Partner with the Mentor Consultant team to share insights, trends, and field needs
    • Contribute to continuous improvement and evolving best practices
    • Support documentation of effective strategies and learning
    • Collaborate with the core leadership team to help define and align the Mentor Consultant role across the system
    • Participate in planning efforts to identify and address regional gaps in IECMH services

    Collaboration and Relationship Building

    • Build relationships across regions and partner organizations
    • Represent ORIMHA in meetings, trainings, or events
    • Contribute to a connected, statewide system of support
    • Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all consultation and supervision activities

    What You Bring

    • Master’s degree in a mental health, early childhood, or related field
    • Licensure or working toward licensure LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or similar
    • 3 plus years of experience in infant or early childhood mental health or related work
    • Experience providing IECMH consultation and/or facilitating reflective supervision preferred
    • Ability to attain Reflective Supervisor endorsement to support consultants in counting RSC hours toward endorsement
    • Strong presence, listening skills, and ability to guide reflective conversations
    • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive and culturally sustaining practice

    Why ORIMHA

    • Mission-driven, relationship-centered work with meaningful impact
    • Opportunity to engage in thoughtful, reflective practice rather than high-volume work
    • Connection to a statewide, interdisciplinary network of professionals
    • Ability to influence practice and contribute to a growing field
    • Remote work with flexibility to support your schedule and sustainability
    • Autonomy in how you approach your work and support others
    • Work designed to support long-term engagement in a meaningful, emotionally demanding field

    Benefits and Compensation

    • Compensation for this role is expected to range from $76,500 to $85,500, depending on experience and alignment
    • Medical and dental benefits
    • 403b with 4 percent employer match
    • Paid time off that increases with tenure

Final candidates will be required to complete a background check, consistent with our commitment to supporting children, families, and communities we serve.

If you are drawn to reflective, relationship-based work and want to be part of a connected, mission-driven community, we would love to hear from you.

ORIMHA is committed to equity, inclusion, and belonging in both our work and our hiring practices. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences, and we recognize the value of lived experience in strengthening our work. We strive to create a workplace where all individuals feel respected, supported, and able to contribute fully.
