    Descrição

SPCA International (SPCAI) is a small but mighty team of non-profit professionals improving the lives of animals, and the humans who love them, through innovative programs and partnerships. From rescuing dogs for U.S. soldiers deployed in the Middle East to supporting relief efforts on the Ukrainian border, SPCAI has made a positive impact on animals in over 70 countries. As a relatively young non-profit headquartered in New York City, SPCAI has grown exponentially since its founding and aims to continue that trend.

The Digital Content Coordinator is responsible for driving SPCA International's presence across all major social media platforms while supporting storytelling and campaign execution through visual content. This position plays a key role in producing timely, engaging, and mission-aligned content and managing influencer relationships across digital channels to support fundraising, advocacy, and awareness goals. Secondary responsibilities include gathering stories and assets to support the organization's email program.

This is an execution-heavy, content-creation-focused role designed for a creative self-starter who thrives in a mission-driven environment and is deeply in tune with digital trends and online communities.

    Key Responsibilities

    Social Media Management

    • Develop, schedule, and post engaging content across all social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Threads, LinkedIn, Bluesky, and YouTube.
    • Maintain and update SPCAI’s content calendar in coordination with campaign goals and seasonal themes.
    • Monitor and report on social trends, analytics and platform changes; adjust strategies to maximize reach, engagement, and relevance.
    • Respond to comments, direct messages, and community questions using approved tone and talking points.
    • Collaborate with the Advocacy & Events Campaign Coordinator to amplify on-the-ground campaigns and partner stories.
    • Manage social media bios, keeping links up-to-date with active campaigns and events.
    • Cultivate relationships with influencers aligned with SPCAI’s mission

    Visual Content Creation

    • Produce original graphics, photo assets, reels, and short-form videos aligned with SPCAI’s branding and messaging.
    • Gather multimedia content from internal teams, shelter partners, and field campaigns for use across channels.
    • Organize and archive creative assets for efficient access across the department.

    Story Collection & Email Support

    • Attend and participate in program calls to gather content ideas and discuss future campaigns.
    • Support the Senior Digital Fundraising Strategist by collecting partner quotes, impact stories, and visuals for use in appeals and donor emails.
    • Collaborate on email campaign concepts and layouts (in EN/Canva)
    • Ensure email visuals are optimized and accessible across devices.
    • Collaborate with SPCA International’s team members to ensure alignment across marketing and social media efforts.
    • Attend events, rallies, and conferences, as needed, serving as a representative of SPCA International. May include travel for content collection or transporting animals in need.
    • Assist with initiatives such as Tatango text alerts and other social media-driven fundraising efforts.

    Qualifications

    • 2–4 years of experience in social media content creation, digital marketing, or nonprofit communications.
    • Proven ability to create compelling, mission-aligned content that drives engagement.
    • Proficiency with tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Meta Business Suite and Sprout Social
    • Strong eye for design, voice consistency, and multimedia storytelling.
    • Familiarity with Instagram Reels, TikTok trends, and nonprofit tone best practices.
    • Basic understanding of email layout and visual asset coordination preferred.
    • Bonus: Passion for animal welfare and global impact storytelling.
