    Descrição

For more than 45 years, Arm In Arm has worked side by side with our Mercer County neighbors to build stability, security, and hope. Our housing stability programs help families stay in their homes, weather a crisis, and move toward a stronger financial future.

Following the retirement of our longtime director after many years of dedicated leadership, we're looking for our next Director of Housing Stability Services: someone ready to build on a strong foundation and lead this work into its next chapter. Our new Director will benefit from a planned transition period to ensure continuity for clients, staff, and partners.

    THE OPPORTUNITY

You'll lead a respected portfolio of programs that make a real difference in people's lives: homelessness prevention, housing stability case management, our Representative Payee program, Still Standing, Financial Fitness, and Parent Connect programs. Each year, you'll direct about $500,000 in housing assistance, combining county grants with private funding that lets us reach families other programs can't. You'll lead a committed team, and as part of our leadership team you'll help shape where Arm In Arm goes next as we begin a new strategic planning process.

    WHAT YOU'LL LEAD

    • Housing stability programs grounded in dignity, client strengths, and lasting outcomes
    • Strategic use of direct aid, drawing on both public and private resources to meet families where they are
    • Our Representative Payee program, helping clients manage their benefits with care and integrity
    • Strong relationships with funders, backed by clear results and reporting
    • A culture of learning and innovation, using data, technology, and client outcomes to keep improving our services
    • A talented team of seven full-time staff, part-time staff, and volunteers, with support to help them grow
    • Outreach and partnerships that connect families to help early, working alongside landlords, community organizations, government agencies, and funders across Mercer County

    WHAT YOU BRING

    • A master's degree in social work, public administration, or a related field (or current enrollment in such a program), with at least 3-5 years of experience in housing or homelessness services, including supervisory experience; OR a bachelor's degree with at least 7 years of experience in housing or homelessness services, including at least three years supervising staff
    • Experience managing grant-funded programs and budgets
    • Knowledge of Mercer County's housing and social services landscape, or the curiosity to learn it quickly
    • NJ social work licensure (LSW/LCSW), HMIS experience, and Spanish proficiency are a plus
    • The ability to build trust and communicate effectively with clients, community partners, government officials, and donors
    • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
    • A belief in every person's capacity to build a more stable future
    • A commitment to continuous improvement and to learning and understanding what the families we serve need to thrive
