Graphic Design and Layout (Urban Minutes and Co-Design Production)

Background

Syrbanism produces a range of public facing knowledge and engagement outputs, including Urban Minutes bulletins and multimedia, and materials for the co-design workshops that bring communities, municipal staff and practitioners together to shape recovery scenarios. These outputs need a consistent and accessible visual treatment that supports comprehension and builds trust across audiences.

Objective

To provide graphic design and layout for the project's public outputs, establishing and applying a coherent visual treatment across the Urban Minutes bulletins and the co-design workshop production materials, including infographics and other communication items.

Scope of work and deliverables

• A visual layout system and templates for the Urban Minutes bulletins and recurring project communications.
• Infographics and visual content that turn complex recovery and HLP data into accessible, plain language outputs.
• Layout and production ready materials for the co-design workshops, such as toolkits, boards and handouts.
• Editable source files and exported assets for the team's ongoing use within the project.

Note on scope

This assignment covers the project communication and workshop design outputs, namely Urban Minutes and the co-design production. Layout here is understood to include the visual system applied across the project's public outputs, not only individual workshop materials. It is distinct from Syrbanism's corporate brand identity and website, which are commissioned separately.

Required qualifications

• Strong editorial and information design portfolio, such as bulletins, infographics and reports;
• Experience with bilingual Arabic and English layout and plain language visual communication;
• Ability to deliver reusable templates and editable source files.

Timeline

The assignment is expected to be completed within approximately 60 to 90 days from contracting, against a schedule to be agreed.

Cost estimate and submission

Reporting, IP and confidentiality

The selected provider reports to the assignment lead at Syrbanism, and deliverables are subject to review and acceptance. All deliverables and the associated rights of use pass to Syrbanism on full payment, and the provider warrants the work is original and free of third party rights. The provider treats project information as confidential and handles any personal data in line with applicable data protection requirements.
