Position Title: Mental Health Generalist (Welcome & Intake Unit)

About This Role
We’re looking for a compassionate and energetic Mental Health Generalist to join our Welcome & Intake Unit within our accredited mental health clubhouse. In this role, you’ll partner with adults living with psychiatric disabilities and/or substance use disorders, helping them build skills, access resources, and engage in meaningful daily clubhouse work and activities.

The Awesome Things You’ll Do
- Support members in achieving personal recovery, employment, education, and social goals.
- Oversee Welcome & Intake Unit daily operations & develop methods to enhance unit functioning.
- Engage and work side by side with members in carrying out unit tasks, including: outreaching unit members, recording daily attendance data, researching topics that support program marketing strategies and intake services, connecting with new community-based partners, coordinating & conducting prospective member tours and program orientations, designing Clubhouse unit marketing materials, and assisting with the development of Clubhouse events.
- Lead in the coordination of weekly meals prep, food ordering, and culinary supplies and food inventory.
- Assist with the meals planning, menus layout and dissemination, kitchen/dining room maintenance, and unit notices, updates, and resources for Clubhouse members.
- Complete daily food production records and monthly meals reimbursement documentation.
- Participate in opportunities for social and recreational activities within and outside of the clubhouse.
- Facilitate unit meetings daily, as well as assist with the developing of special events/activities within and outside of the clubhouse.
- Assist with program marketing strategies through the documenting of unit-related activities/events via flyers, special invites, pictures and videos.
- Manage member case records and documentation via the electronic health files, and secure private health information.
- Engage members through outreach & encouragement, with a focus on their strengths, abilities and interests.
- Establish working relationships with members within the Clubhouse community to support their experiences as valued participants in the community.
- Connect members to community resources to meet individual needs (i.e. employment, housing, benefits, legal and treatment). (Note: Escorting members may be required)
- Work cooperatively with staff & members in developing Clubhouse policies and in advancing the purposes and welfare of the Clubhouse as a whole.
- Impart to members with a vision of their potential to achieve aspirations through acceptance and empathy that is not restricted by disability but is based on needs common to all people seeking employment, education, housing, and social involvements.
Activities are subject to change / be added to meet business needs with management approval.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited school in related field required.
- Bilingual in Spanish (preferred).
- Experience supporting individuals with mental health, vocational, or substance-use needs (preferred).
- Comfort using Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams.
- Ability to work effectively in a communal setting.
- Convey a vibrant energy that attracts our mental health members and enables engagement.
Special Working Conditions
You may:
- Assist across clubhouse units with a general knowledge and ability to facilitate support as a Mental Health Generalist.
- Provide case-management referrals and general support.
- Work occasional Saturdays, late shifts (11am – 7pm) or certain holidays.
- Attend required two-week clubhouse training out of state.
