    Descrição

The NYU McSilver Institute for Poverty Policy and Research is committed to creating new knowledge about the root causes of poverty, developing evidence-based interventions to address its consequences, and rapidly translating research findings into action through policy and best practices.

We are looking to hire a talented and motivated individual to serve as a full time senior coordinator. This position will support a range of projects related to behavioral health policy, infrastructure, and implementation for New York State mental health and substance use agencies. For instance, the Senior Coordinator may support the Managed Care Technical Assistance Center (MCTAC), an initiative funded by the NYS Office of Mental Health. MCTAC provides timely resources and offerings to NYS behavioral health providers navigating the changing Medicaid landscape. This position, under the direction of the Director of Healthcare Innovation, will plan, administer, and execute the vision, strategy, and goals of our Healthcare Innovation team, which consists of MCTAC and other technical assistance projects.

    Responsibilities:

    • Work under the direction of senior staff, and in collaboration with other TAC staff and partners, to project manage, coordinate, and facilitate statewide training initiatives.
      • This involves being the primary point person to manage and oversee logistics for internal and external meetings and events, including scheduling, booking rooms, preparing materials, setting up conference calls, travel arrangements, catering, conference spaces, and notetaking. This role also includes contacting vendors for services and overseeing the production and distribution of materials.
      • Prepare content for meetings, trainings, and events to support behavioral health providers in learning or better understanding state policies and regulations.
      • Support other TAC staff, consultants, and projects by applying relevant subject matter expertise.
    • Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders and keep project team(s) well informed of changes and lessons learned from various events
      • Maintain accurate meeting summaries, minutes and notes that capture discussions and action items.
      • Draft communications (emails, announcements, newsletters, and webpages), using various web-based platforms
      • Incorporate digital accessibility formatting into all publications and webpages and perform quality checks on publications and data systems
      • Collect and analyze survey data and registration data, perform data entry, and pull together reports that synthesize overall participation and feedback for events
    • Work independently to complete tasks accurately with very little consultation/oversight and guidance needed
    • Ability to anticipate in advance the next steps of projects and to begin drafting or working on next steps without requiring prompting from other team members
    • Use problem-solving skills when facing obstacles in the planning and coordination process. Adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment and identify solutions that aim to meet the goal of the project
    • Be open to receiving feedback and changing approaches to align our work with the interests and goals of stakeholders
    • Stay informed and up-to-date on the forefront of emerging industry practices, particularly as relates to technologies used for event and webinar coordination, development and implementation.
    • Performs other duties as assigned. When needed, other responsibilities may arise for projects and will be discussed with the MCTAC team and supervisor(s) involved.

    Skillsets:

    • Strong time management skills, with the ability to independently prioritize tasks and manage workload with minimal supervision
    • Highly organized, with a lot of attention to detail, and critical thinking skills to ensure accuracy and quality of our team’s work. To demonstrate your attention to detail, please describe your favorite organizational/productivity tool in your cover letter.
    • Is a dependable team member who takes ownership of assigned tasks to ensure timely completion.
    • Team player with leadership skills, abilities and desire to interact with people at all levels.
