SUMMARY
You have a passion for all things marketing and are well-versed in digital marketing concepts, tools and technology. Come join our team! We’re looking for a creative and results-driven Marketing Specialist. In this role, you will support the development and lead execution of integrated marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness, generate qualified leads and boost sales for ZERO TO THREE’s early childhood professional development products and services, including training, membership, annual conference, virtual events, and products. You will be responsible for creating compelling content for print, email, digital advertisements, website and social media, as well as managing the tools for posting, and reporting performance of promotional efforts. The ideal candidate has a mind that is equal parts creative and analytical and thrives when working with cross-functional stakeholders to build campaigns and programs that drive business results. Experience in early education, nonprofits, agencies, or associations a plus.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support marketing and communications activities for ZERO TO THREE’s products, services, trainings, membership and events
- Lead omnichannel content creation which includes technical and creative writing for email, web, print, and digital ads
- Create and execute dynamic, data-driven, segmented email campaigns including drip marketing campaigns, membership retention/reactivation campaigns, event recruitment campaigns, lifecycle emails, and engaging welcome series
- Plan and implement website content marketing strategy, including creation of product landing pages, lead generation forms and other conversion opportunities such as pop-ups, banner ads, homepage features, etc.
- Responsible for day-to-day content updates and website maintenance and performance, with a focus on optimizing SEO/SEM and user experience
- Develop paid digital advertising and retargeting campaigns, including the creation of ads creative and copy, audience groups, and customized landing pages
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing Manager and communications team to coordinate design and implementation of digital marketing campaigns across ZERO TO THREE’s platforms
- Serve as primary point of contact for related vendors and agencies as needed
- Proactively stay abreast of trends to inform future growth strategies and opportunities
- Be able to travel 2-3 times per year for events, retreats and in-person meetings
- Performs other duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the department
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Strong writing skills: creative copy, presentations, storytelling, collateral materials
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a proven track record managing engaging and effective integrated marketing campaigns with measurable results
- Experience with marketing automation, email marketing, a robust CRM or marketing automation software such as Salesforce, HubSpot or Marketing Cloud
- Content creation and publications experience (digital, video and/or print)
- Proficiency with Google marketing products including AdWords, Analytics and Search Console.
- Strong project management skills: attention to detail, adherence to deadlines, time management skills and consistent follow-through
- Experience collaborating across teams
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Self-directing and agile, with the ability to quickly pivot strategies, as needed
- Team player with superb communication and interpersonal skills
- Spanish fluency a plus
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in marketing, communications, digital marketing, advertising or related field.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
This position's salary is estimated to be mid $60,000s to low $80,000s depending on experience, geo-location, budget, and other comparable and similarly scoped internal positions. In addition to salary, ZERO TO THREE offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, HRA, retirement contributions, generous leave benefits and more.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is frequently required to use finger dexterity and sufficient hand dexterity to use a computer keyboard and be capable of reading a computer screen. Also, they may need to remain seated for extended periods, can perform repetitive motions, and reach for objects. An employee is frequently required to hold a writing instrument, communicate verbally, and hear well enough to detect nuances and receive detailed information. They may be required to grasp objects, push, and pull objects, bend, stand, walk, squat, or kneel. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision for data preparation or analysis, and expansive reading. May need to lift up to 30 pounds.
