    Descrição

    EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Lead with purpose. Serve with heart.

Join Stand in the Gap Ministries if you are dedicated to changing lives. We’re looking for an Executive Director who leads people well, thinks creatively, and thrives in a mission-focused environment.

What happens when someone has no one to call in their hardest moment?

That’s where we step in… and maybe where you do too.

At Stand in the Gap, we believe that the love of God expressed through the people of God has the power to transform lives. We meet people right in that place of need, with real relationships and consistent support. Since 1997, we have walked alongside widows, at-risk young adults, and those aging out of foster care, and women coming out of incarceration. These individuals are often overlooked, isolated, or forgotten. No one should have to face grief, transition, or rebuilding alone. That’s why we connect them with mentor teams and small groups who show up faithfully, listen deeply, and offer both practical help and lasting connection.

This is where life transformation begins. In relationships that restore dignity, rebuild hope, and remind people they are not alone. The work is personal, faith-driven, and life-changing for everyone involved- and if that speaks to your heart, we would love to meet you.

Are you a relational and results-oriented leader who brings both strategic focus and practical execution to your work? Do you enjoy building strong teams, creating forward-thinking solutions, and guiding organizations through change with clarity and purpose? If you value meaningful work and want to contribute to a mission that impacts lives, we invite you to explore this opportunity.

We are seeking an Executive Director who brings a thoughtful, action-oriented approach to leadership. The ideal candidate is comfortable leading people, setting a sustainable pace for progress, and finding creative ways to accomplish goals while fostering a positive, mission-centered culture.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide strategic direction and operational leadership in alignment with the organization’s mission.
    • Foster a collaborative, supportive work environment while maintaining accountability across the team.
    • Lead the organization through change initiatives, with a focus on clear communication, empathy, and long-term sustainability.
    • Represent the organization in the community, building relationships with donors, partners, and other stakeholders.
    • Oversee financial operations, including budgeting, fundraising, and resource development.
    • Work closely with the Board of Directors to ensure alignment on goals and key initiatives.

    Ideal Candidate Profile

    • Brings a balanced leadership style—confident in making decisions, while highly relational and team-focused.
    • Demonstrates strong organizational awareness and maintains a steady pace in guiding multiple projects.
    • Enjoys connecting with others, fostering partnerships, and promoting the mission within the community.
    • Comfortable identifying new approaches to meet objectives and improve systems, especially during organizational change or growth.
    • Grounded in a sense of purpose, particularly within ministry- or service-oriented environments.
    • The ideal candidate will need to reside in the Tulsa, OK area.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferably in Nonprofit Management, Business, Public Administration, or a related field).
    • At least 5 years of leadership experience, including 3 or more years in nonprofit roles.
    • Background in fundraising, grant writing, staff supervision, and strategic planning.
    • Experience leading teams through organizational change preferred.
    • Working knowledge of nonprofit financials, compliance, and 501(c)(3) governance.
    • Valid Oklahoma driver’s license required.

    What We Offer

    • A values-driven organization with a dedicated team and mission-centered focus.
    • Opportunities to lead meaningful work and contribute to the growth of community-based programs.
    • A collaborative culture that supports innovation, professional development, and long-term impact.
    • We care about our team and our benefits are designed to support your well-being and work-life balance. We offer a competitive compensation package, that includes a retirement plan with a generous match, health insurance, dental, disability, life insurance, paid vacation and sick leave, flexible work schedules, and paid holidays. Team members also enjoy professional development opportunities, the ability to work remotely when appropriate, and a mission-driven culture where your work makes a direct impact. As a small nonprofit, we strive to create a supportive, inclusive environment where your contributions are valued and your growth is encouraged.

    Salary range: $85,000-$125,000 yearly
