    Position Profile

    The People & Culture Communications Senior Manager reports to the Chief People Officer and works closely with People Operations in developing and implementing communication strategies to support the impactful delivery of Blue Meridian’s People strategy and priorities. This role is a strategic, consultative and creative thinker, who will create and deliver compelling communication strategy that brings Blue Meridian Partners Employee Value Proposition to life. This role plays a critical role in enhancing staff engagement, fostering a positive culture, and promoting people-focused programs and initiatives across the organization.

    Primary Responsibilities

    The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:

    • Develop, articulate, and implement a comprehensive People communications strategy that drives awareness, alignment, and engagement in key organizational initiatives.
    • Craft clear, compelling, and high-impact content that effectively communicates People initiatives, change management efforts, and organizational news and updates.
    • Support the People team in their role in leading change by developing clear and compelling change communication plans to support people-focused change efforts (e.g., organizational change).
    • Prepare and execute multi-channel content such as employee emails, newsletter, intranet, internal events, all-staff gatherings, and employer brand storytelling
    • Collaborate with the People Team to develop and execute on communication plans that effectively share periodic/cyclical People activities (e.g., goal-setting, performance management, recognition, talent acquisition & retention, and rewards) as well as bespoke/targeted programs (e.g., engagement surveys, learning events).
    • Partner closely with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency in messaging for People initiatives and that communications efforts support Blue Meridian’s overall strategy and goals.
    • Track and measure the effectiveness of People communication initiatives, gathering feedback and insights to continuously improve strategies and messaging.
    • Strategize and coordinate culture-building activities while championing our values.
    • Build relationships with employee base and represent the voice of staff to leadership when developing programs and initiatives.
    • Support People Operations events and all-staff communications.
    • Advise people managers on communication best practices and messaging strategies where applicable.
    • Stay informed on emerging trends in employee communications and employee engagement, leveraging insights to drive innovation and best practices.

    Qualifications

    Required

    • Aligned with Blue Meridian's mission and core values
    • 7+ years of professional experience developing and implementing successful employee and culture communication strategies
    • Strong understanding of HR programs, policies, and best practices
    • Experience working in a mission-driven organization, with a demonstrated commitment to culture
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex information into clear, concise, compelling content
    • Strong project management abilities and attention to detail
    • Collaborative mindset with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization
    • Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to measuring communications effectiveness
    • Creative problem-solver with an innovative approach to engagement challenges
    • Proficiency with digital communication platforms, tools, and analytics
    • Demonstrated commitment to Blue Meridian's mission and values
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across organizational functions
    • Excellence in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and the ability to learn new software quickly
    • Willing to travel as needed

    Preferred

    • Experience working in philanthropy, nonprofits and/or strategy consulting desirable
    • Master's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or related field
    • High level of creativity, innovation, agility, flexibility and attention to detail.
    • Knowledge of and experience working with change management principles and methodologies.

    Hiring Salary

    Blue Meridian Partners aims to provide a comprehensive and competitive total compensation package.

    The hiring salary for this position is $133,000. In addition to the base salary, each member of Blue Meridian is eligible to receive a performance based variable incentive bonus.
