    Food & Water Watch is looking for a Salesforce Team Lead to join our technology team to help grow and develop our Salesforce environment. The Salesforce Team Lead will work closely with the IT Director, Jr. Salesforce System Administrator, and Data Analyst to support our technology endeavors, and the staff at Food & Water Watch.

    About the position:

    The Salesforce Team Lead will play a crucial role in supporting and enhancing Food & Water Watch/Food & Water Action’s (FWW/FWA) Salesforce environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Salesforce Administration, Business Analytics, Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP), and third-party system integrations. This role also supports and maintains Salesforce specific applications (Apsona, ElementsCloud, Cloudingo), as well as integrations with third-party applications/systems such as Tableau, EngagingNetworks, and ActBlue. This role will provide high-level technical support and strategic guidance for our Salesforce environment ensuring it aligns with FWW’s business requirements, as well as modern information security standards and best practices.

    Salary: $81,800 – $100,000 (Salary dependent on experience and location)

    Location: Remote in the US

    FLSA Status: Exempt

    Responsibilities:

    1. Strategic Administration:
    • Research, plan, and coordinate new/custom solutions within Salesforce.
    • Perform business data analysis and provide recommendations to help optimize database.
    • Assist in building FWW internal Salesforce and System Integrations Roadmap.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
    • Manage Salesforce team projects.
    • Collaborate with external resources for code development.
    • Provide Salesforce Stakeholders with regular updates and lead project planning.
    • Maintain existing automations and develop new automations to satisfy business needs.
    1. Supervise Salesforce Team:
    • Responsible for growing and developing technical capabilities of Jr. Systems Administrator and Data Analyst positions.
    • Participate in/Lead regular team check-ins.
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience managing people.
    1. Integration and Data Management:
    • Manage integrating Salesforce with various systems (both internal and external).
    • Responsible for maintaining the functional areas of data management, accounts, contacts, leads, campaigns, donations, dashboards and reports etc. for the platform.
    • Lead deployment and maintenance of automations and integrations.
    1. Digital Marketing Collaboration
    • Create and maintain customer databases, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security.
    • Analyze member data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform marketing initiatives.
    • Segment members based on demographics, behavior, and donating patterns to optimize targeting and messaging.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Development, Organizing, and IT, to execute campaigns and achieve business objectives. Will also be responsible for managing relationships between internal teams and third-party consultants.
    1. Documentation and Collaboration:
    • Maintain current documentation and develop new documentation according to system setups, business policies, processes, and procedures.
    • Provide training and support to end-users on Salesforce features and functionality.
    • Work closely with internal departments and external business partners to maintain and enhance the Salesforce platform’s capabilities.
    • Participate in cross-functional teams that address strategic organizational issues involving Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) and integrated applications.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Salesforce Experience:
      • Experience with NPSP (Nonprofit Success Pack) configuration and best practices.
      • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a Salesforce Administrator.
      • Proficiency in Flows, Lightning, and other Salesforce modules.
      • Salesforce certifications (e.g. Certified Administrator/Advanced Administrator, Salesforce Business Analyst).
    • Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices and functionality.
    • Project Management Experience (PMP, CSM, SAFe preferred).
    • Commitment to Food & Water Watch’s core values of justice, human dignity, fair treatment, and equity.

    • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent time management & organizational skills and ability to balance multiple projects.
    • Ability to work remotely using online platforms such as Microsoft 365, Slack, Zoom, and Google Workspace.

    Desired but not required skills and experience:

    • Experience with EngagingNetworks.
    • Technical Skills:
      • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
      • Knowledge of data modeling, integration patterns, and REST/SOAP APIs.
      • Experience with SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, and version control.
