About The Right To The City Alliance (RTTC) and RTTC Action
Right To The City Alliance (RTTC) is a national alliance of racial, economic, and environmental justice organizations formed in 2007 to confront gentrification and displacement in urban communities. Through a shared theory of change, RTTC builds a movement for democratic, just, and sustainable cities. RTTC Action, its affiliated 501(c)(4), advances advocacy, lobbying, integrated voter engagement, and electoral campaigns to develop the renter class as a political bloc capable of contesting governing power.
Position Summary
The National Organizer of Field Mobilization is responsible for executing Right To The City Alliance’s 2026 Homes for All Field Plan for the year of 2026 by leading national volunteer recruitment, coordination, and on-the-ground field execution. This is a temporary role designed to support peak 2026 electoral and field activity, concluding on December 19, 2026.
2026 is a pivotal year for housing justice, as tenants and working class communities organize to confront corporate landlords, private equity, and MAGA aligned politicians, making housing a central political and pro democracy issue. This role supports the execution of RTTC’s 2026 field strategy, which centers on mobilizing tenants and allies through coordinated national voter outreach and electoral deployments to win housing focused victories and build lasting political power.
This organizer will recruit, train, and manage volunteers for national voter outreach and campaign support across priority states, including Massachusetts and New York, while also contributing to national electoral movement formation in key congressional districts. The role is focused primarily on volunteer management and serves as a connective link between campaign strategy, data, logistics, and member engagement, ensuring volunteers are prepared, supported, and effectively deployed and that field learnings strengthen overall campaign performance.

Location and Travel
This is a remote position and travel is required; On average, this position will be expected to travel [1-2 times per month for a total of 5-10 days per month, year round]. During campaign high season travel can be as long as three weeks on the ground.

Full-time, non-exempt, temporary through December 19, 2026. The salary range starts at $85,000+ Compensation commensurate with experience and competitive with our sector.
