    Position Overview

    We are seeking a seasoned, mission-aligned Senior Fundraiser to deepen and expand our donor base across North America. This role will focus on cultivating major gifts and institutional funding through Jewish Federations, private foundations, and high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs).

    It is a remote, part-time role (15–25 hours/week) with flexibility and national travel (10–20%) to conferences, donor meetings, and events.(FOGH

    Key Responsibilities

    • Build and manage a portfolio of 75–100 major gift prospects.
    • Cultivate, solicit, and steward gifts from Jewish Federations, foundations, and HNWIs.
    • Lead Federation fundraising efforts (GA cycle, missions, campaigns).
    • Manage the foundation grants pipeline (prospecting, LOIs, proposals, reporting).
    • Develop stewardship plans and donor upgrade strategies for major gifts.
    • Begin building a planned/legacy giving program.
    • Collaborate with the Executive Director to design and execute fundraising strategies.
    • Mentor and support the Donor Coordinator in donor engagement and follow-up.
    • Represent FOGH at donor meetings, parlor events, and communal conferences.
    • Maintain accurate donor records in Friends of Givat Haviva’s LGL CRM

    Qualifications

    • 10+ years of fundraising experience, ideally with major Jewish organizations.
    • Proven success securing six- and seven-figure gifts.
    • Strong network and knowledge of the Jewish philanthropic landscape.
    • Demonstrated portfolio management with measurable growth.
    • Excellent grant writing and reporting skills.
    • Exceptional relationship-building and communication abilities.
    • Proficiency with CRM systems and strong data discipline.
    • Passion for shared society, democracy, and civic equality in Israel.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team.

    Compensation

    • Commensurate with experience.
    • Travel expenses reimbursed per policy.
    • Performance bonus eligibility may be considered.
