Start your Jewish social justice journey with Avodah's Jewish Service Corps, an immersive service year program running September 2026 - August 2027 for emerging changemakers ages 21-26.
Jewish Service Corps Members spend a year serving full-time at a non-profit in Chicago, New Orleans, New York, or Washington, DC while living and learning in a justice-oriented Jewish community. As a Corps Member, you’ll:
Jews of Color (JOCs) in Avodah’s Service Corps community can opt into additional support for their Avodah experience and professional development. This flexible, voluntary offering evolves to meet the needs of each cohort, and can include dedicated mentorship with a JOC leader, connections to JOC-led organizations in your city, 1:1 support from Avodah staff members, and opportunities to connect virtually and regionally with other JOC Corps Members.
Avodah is committed to building a Service Corps that inclusively represents the diverse Jewish Community. Sephardi Jews, Mizrahi Jews, Jews of Color, people of color, women, people with disabilities, immigrants, LGBT2QIA people, and people who come from poor or working class backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply!
The final deadline is March 26th. After this, we will accept applications on a rolling basis until all spots are filled. Please visit avodah.net/serve to learn more and apply, or email apply@avodah.net to connect with our recruitment team.
Corps Members receive health coverage for duration of service year in addition to access to Avodah's Mental Health Advisor during program year. Exit stipends are provided at end of year.
Some individual placement positions may require language proficiency or fluency.
