Overview
VertueLab is seeking proposals from qualified research analysts to conduct a limited scope for a project as part of a pilot program that we are preparing to launch in 2027. As we move toward implementation, we seek program validation to ensure our approach is equitable and responsive to the needs of our market stakeholders. The findings from this research will directly inform how we shape and scale the pilot for maximum impact and inclusivity.
Scope of Work & Project Timeline
The selected consultant will be responsible for:
- Conducting interviews with 5-7 key stakeholders identified by the VertueLab team, along with any additional stakeholders you discover during your research.
- Synthesizing qualitative interview data to evaluate how effectively the current program framework aligns with stakeholder feedback and market conditions.
- Compiling existing and new data to complete the validation, answering key questions around how the initiative would impact entrepreneur business pathways, economic mobility and regional economic /job opportunities.
- Preparing a final report summarizing findings, statistics, interpretations, and recommendations for program improvement based on the data.
Deliverables:
- Transcripts or detailed notes from stakeholder interviews
- Market and opportunity analysis and summary addressing economic development and business opportunities.
- Final report with findings, statistical data, interpretations, and actionable recommendations (publication-ready).
Project Timeline:
All Deliverables Due: October 16th
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in business and market research, ideally in the climate/clean tech or adjacent sector
- Must be located in Oregon
- Demonstrated knowledge of the challenges faced by climate tech business owners and the deployment of climate technologies
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders
- Rigorous, equity based approach to data collection
- Cultural competence and the ability to navigate diverse perspectives
- Familiarity with economic development and business ecosystems, particularly regionally
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Budget
The budget for this project is $7,000. Proposals should include a detailed breakdown of costs, including any potential additional expenses.
