    Job Description:

    Dress for Success Worldwide is seeking a strategic, detail-oriented Career Center and Client Operations Coordinator with a passion for women’s economic empowerment to ensure that our Center operates with professionalism, efficiency, and excellence each day. S/he has exceptional project management and organizational skills, attention to detail, interpersonal and communications skills, and is adept at managing multiple projects with confidence, poise, and efficacy. This role is in person and based in New York City.

    Essential Functions:

    As DFS GNYC continues to grow its reach and deepen its impact across New York City, this role is essential to maintaining a welcoming and client-ready environment for women we serve. The Coordinator will lead the client orientation and onboarding process, Center readiness, donation intake and inventory coordination, and core office operations that enable high-quality service delivery.

    This is an in-office, client-facing and operationally focused role for someone who thrives in high impact environments and demonstrates attention to detail and client service excellence.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Client Experience & Center Readiness

    • Serve as the first point of contact for clients, volunteers, donors, and visitors
    • Maintain a welcoming, safe, and professional environment
    • Ensure Center readiness daily
    • Support client scheduling, confirmations, and follow-up communications
    • Contribute to overall outcome measurement and data collection
    • Coordinate with Client Services Project Manager to support daily service flow and ensure smooth operations

    2 . Center Operations, Donations & Inventory Management

    • Receive, document, and process clothing and in-kind donations
    • Maintain an efficient workflow to maximize impact
    • Process clothing following styling sessions (i.e. sanitize clothing, return clothing to inventory)
    • Track inventory and maintain support systems in coordination with Dress for Success Worldwide Operations & Finance
    • Support donation logistics, pickups, and related coordination

    3. Office Operations & Administrative Systems

    • Maintain office supply levels and coordinate routine ordering
    • Manage and track mail, packages, and deliveries
    • Coordinate with vendors and building management as needed
    • Maintain operational logs, checklists, and digital systems that support daily efficiency
    • Identify operational issues proactively and escalate appropriately

    Required Education and Experience:

    • 2+ years of experience in office coordination, workplace operations, boutique/retail operations, or client-facing administrative support
    • Strong customer service skills and comfort supporting a mission-driven, client-centered environment
    • Knowledge of non-profit business operations (i.e. client relationship management, inventory tracking, cross-systems communication)
    • Experience with outcome measurement and data collection practices
    • CRM Knowledge
    • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365; comfort learning new systems, including AI
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting

    Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time position with a business schedule from Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM. Employees must work 35 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Limited travel may be required.

    Work Environment

    Dress for Success Worldwide offers a congenial work environment. The dress code is business smart/business casual and employees work on-site in our New York City office three days per week and remotely two days per week.

    Physical Demands

    Employee may need to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds in performing regular office duties and managing records, files, and materials.
