    Descrição

    About the Coalition:

    The Coalition works to end gender-based violence and promote equitable relationships through collective action for social change. In partnership with our 40 member agencies, we lead collaborative efforts in King County, Washington that: expand and improve services for survivors of sexual and domestic violence, promote laws and policies that support survivor safety and self-determination, raise public awareness about the issue, and prevent gender-based violence. In addition, we work to ensure that regional anti-violence efforts are centered in the context of a larger movement for racial, economic, and social justice.

    About the Position:

    The Coalition Ending Gender-Based Violence is seeking a skilled professional to produce an updated King County Trans Resource & Referral Guide. The Coalition has led regional, collaborative efforts to improve access to services for LGBTQ survivors of violence over the last decade. Previous versions of the Trans Resource & Referral Guide from 2015 and 2017 have been meaningful contributions to that body of work. This position will be responsible for making updates to the guide to improve access to resources and amplify existing networks of care within the trans community in King County.

    This contractor position will lead the collaborative development, production, and update of the King County Trans Resource & Referral Guide. This position recruits and coordinates a community advisory group, establishes partnerships with community organizations, and oversees the writing, design, and dissemination of a print and web-based resource guide. The goal of the project is to ensure that the trans community has access to accurate local resources created ‘by and for’ them and to improve the community safety net in King County for trans people, their families, and communities.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Recruiting and coordinating a community advisory board tasked with visioning, planning, and contributing content to the Trans Resource & Referral Guide;
    • Leading content development, and overseeing the design, production, and translation of the Trans Resource & Referral Guide
    • Fostering organizational relationships and partnerships, including with GBV providers, trans and gender-diverse community members, stakeholders, community-based organizations, and community groups;
    • Leading outreach efforts and dissemination of the guide through both print and digital versions of the guide and through both remote and in-person opportunities;
    • Preparing written reports, documents, and presentations as required by the Coalition.

    The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

    • Project coordination/management experience, particularly in collaborative, community-based settings;
    • Excellent organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines, and ability to work independently with little direct supervision;
    • Demonstrated group facilitation and conflict-resolution skills, and experience fostering collaboration between individuals and groups;
    • Effective writing and oral communication skills;
    • Connections with local community organizations, mental health, and/or human service providers, including those providing culturally accessible and appropriate services to the trans community;
    • Demonstrated commitment to gender, racial, economic, and social equity, along with a commitment to the Coalition’s mission, vision, and values;
    • Experience with print and/or web design or production, preferred.

    Hours and Compensation:

    This position is a temporary contract position for 20 hours a week at $40/hour and will start from the time of hire and end on September 30, 2026.

    How to Apply:

    To apply, please email a cover letter (no more than 2 pages) and resume to job@endgv.org by September 2, 2025. The position is open until filled. In your cover letter, please be sure to include examples of successful projects you’ve managed from start to finish.
