Director of 20s and 30s Ministry (part-time)

General Summary

The Director of 20’s and 30’s Ministry will focus their efforts on building a dynamic, engaging, inclusive and growing program for people in their 20’s and 30’s at Marble Collegiate Church. This is a contractor position with an expectation of working approximately 15 hours a week, including on-site presence on Sundays. Reports to: Senior or Executive Minister

The vision for the future of Marble Collegiate Church includes an aligned focus for all ministry areas and Program Groups with the strategic directions that resulted from the 2022 Strategic Planning process. Each staff member at Marble is tasked with working to align their ministry with these strategic directions and build a growth and outreach plan that prioritizes these areas.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Build a database of 20’s and 30’s who attend Marble, either in Worship or through other programming, both in person and online.
2. Create engaging programs that draw in 20’s and 30’s, including social gatherings, small group meetings, bible studies or other ways for this age group to meet and grow in relationship with God and each other.
3. Work with other Ministry Leaders to collaborate on intergenerational programming where appropriate.
4. Develop and lead outreach and service opportunities to engage 20’s and 30’s in making a difference in the lives of others.
5. Publicize the Ministry through various communication channels in partnership with the Media and Communication Department.
6. Manage the budget allocated to the Ministry.
7. Establish benchmarks and goals with approval of Senior leadership to demonstrate the growth of the Ministry

Specific Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Expectations

1. 3-5 years working in the area of 20’s and 30’s, either in ministry or other area.
2. Ability to readily engage with people, specifically in the 20’s and 30’s age group.
3. Outgoing nature and ease in speaking with and meeting new people
4. Commitment to the Christian faith, and the specific Mission, Vision and Values held by Marble Collegiate Church.
5. Ability to work without supervision and make appropriate decisions
6. Self-motivated, self-starter who can work independently
7. Collaborative spirit who seeks to work with other staff and leaders.
8. Willingness to engage in professional development opportunities and training specific to the age demographic of 20s and 30s to learn from others and continue to strengthen skills in this area.
9. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
10. Theological training is desired, but not a requirement of this position
11. Use of Microsoft Outlook required; Microsoft Office Suite required.

Schedule and Logistics

• The position requires onsite presence on Sundays.

Additional hours can be remote or hybrid.

Compensation:

$35 to $40 per hour for a maximum of 15 hours per week.
