Graphic Design Internship

We are NEXO Sicilia, a young, newly-founded social enterprise located in Agrigento, Sicily. We are looking for creative and motivated interns to join our multicultural and dynamic communication and digital development department and contribute to the creation of visual content and communication materials supporting both NEXO Sicilia and our network of partners.

Through our work in international mobility, social impact initiatives, and community-based projects, we aim to create meaningful educational, cultural, and professional opportunities for young people across Europe while promoting a more innovative and opportunity-oriented vision of Sicily.

Your role

• Create visually engaging content for social media, websites, presentations, campaigns, and digital communication materials
• Contribute to the development of visual identities and branding materials for NEXO Sicilia and partner organizations
• Support communication campaigns and digital storytelling projects connected to international mobility, social impact initiatives, and community-based activities
• Collaborate with the communication team to design cohesive and impactful visuals aligned with brand identity and communication goals
• Use tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign to create digital and print-ready graphic materials
• Edit, optimize, and adapt visual content for different digital platforms, formats, and audiences
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for communication, branding, and social media projects
• Support the creation of visually consistent content across websites, presentations, promotional materials, and online platforms
• Stay updated on trends in graphic design, branding, visual communication, and digital media
• Participate in a creative, multicultural, and collaborative environment focused on communication, innovation, and social impact

Apply if this is you:

• You are currently studying or have a background in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design, Fine Arts, Digital Communication, or related fields
• You are passionate about visual storytelling, branding, and creating engaging digital experiences
• You enjoy combining creativity with communication and contributing to meaningful digital and social impact projects
• You are familiar with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); knowledge of Figma, Adobe XD, or similar tools is appreciated
• You have a strong understanding of typography, color theory, layout, and visual consistency
• You are creative, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working on multiple projects in collaborative environments
• You have a good command of English (minimum B1 level)
• A portfolio showcasing visual, branding, or digital design projects is highly appreciated

• Italian language classes (beginner and intermediate levels)
• Administrative support throughout the internship

Our Requirements:

• You are eligible for the Erasmus+ program or a similar international mobility program, which typically provide you with financial support
• You are available to spend at least 4 months in Agrigento
• You have access to a personal computer suitable for completing the tasks associated with the internship
