About TAC:
Treatment Advocacy Center (TAC) is a national nonprofit organization based in Alexandria, Virginia. Our mission is to eliminate barriers to the timely and effective treatment of severe mental illnesses, especially those involving psychosis.
Position Overview:
Join TAC and take a hands-on role in creating resources for advocates and stakeholders for improved understanding of treatment laws and access to court ordered medically necessary care. As a law clerk, you will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful work that shapes public policy and advocates for better mental health care. You will engage in statute analysis, draft essential resources, and conduct research that empowers individuals to advocate for medically necessary treatment. This internship is a part-time, 20 hours per week, remote position for up to 6 months. Individuals may work from anywhere in the US.

Compensation
TAC will offer $20 per hour, no more than 20 hours per week. Internship is available for up to 6 months. Start and end date negotiable. TAC is willing to work with law school for credit in place of hourly compensation.
