📊 Social Research Internship (Non-Paid)

We are looking for a passionate and driven Social Research Intern to join the Tierra Techo Trabajo (TTT) team. As an intern, you will assist in researching and analyzing important social issues such as poverty, education, healthcare, migration, and more. You’ll gain hands-on experience contributing to meaningful research projects that align with our organization’s mission, and your findings will play a role in shaping future initiatives.

As a Social Research Intern, your research may focus on topics such as:

• The benefits system
• Education
• The environment
• Gender equality
• Healthcare
• Population structure and migration
• Poverty and social services
• Transport
• Unemployment

📊 Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct Social Research: Assist in gathering and analyzing data on key social issues that impact the local and international communities. Contribute to fieldwork, interviews, and surveys as part of the research process.
2. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze data from various sources to identify trends and patterns. Help in creating reports, presentations, and summaries of findings that can be used for advocacy and policy-making.
3. Collaboration with Team Members: Work closely with other members of the research team to ensure that all findings align with the organization’s objectives. Engage in discussions and brainstorming sessions to develop new research questions and strategies.
4. Support Research Projects: Assist in developing research proposals and methodologies for future studies. Participate in community engagement and discussions related to ongoing research projects.

❗️Internship requirements:

• You are able to join us in Agrigento for at least 4 months
• You have at least a B1 in English
• You must be eligible for the Erasmus program
• You have or are currently pursuing a degree in Social Sciences, Sociology, Economics, Public Policy, or a related field.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SPSS, or similar) is a plus.
• Demonstrated interest in social justice, public policy, and advocacy.
