Dissenters 2026 Anti-Militarist Organizing Fellowship!

We are hiring college students in the US to work with us during the fall semester as our 2026 cohort of Anti-Militarist Campus Organizing Fellows!

Do you want to build the movement to defund and abolish the war machine that is destroying our planet and communities domestically and abroad? Are you ready to transform, learn concrete organizing skills, squad up and skill up with Dissenters? We are hiring college students in the U.S. to work with us during the fall semester as our 2026 cohort of Anti-Militarist Campus Organizing Fellows!

Dissenters’ Anti-Militarist Campus Organizing Fellowship is a 12-week paid program that trains US-based college students on the fundamentals of anti-militarist organizing, and provides deep leadership development, coaching, and community to a dedicated cohort of student organizers across the country.

This program will run from mid-September to mid-December 2026.

This year, our application is open to both individuals and pairs. If you’re applying as a pair, you must be on the same campus and each person needs to submit an application and indicate who you are applying with.

This application also includes the option to be considered for the academic year-long Sara Bilezikian Peace Fellowship to work specifically on anti-militarist counter-recruitment campaigns on your campus and in your community.

The goal of counter-recruitment campaigns is to disrupt the pipeline that funnels young people’s talent and labor into the Military Industrial Complex.

The Sara Bilezikian Peace Fellowship may particularly interest students already active in Palestine solidarity, anti-genocide, anti-ICE, or anti-surveillance and data center work, #NoTechForApartheid campaigns, and broader anti-militarist work.

Qualifications for either fellowship:

• This fellowship is available to any currently enrolled full time college student. No previous political or organizing experience is required.
• Cannot be entering their Final Year of college.
• Each person must submit an individual application, even if you are applying as a pair!

Priority for:

• Students impacted by war and militarism
• Students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
• Students at Colleges in the South.
• Students with strong connections to the Military Industrial Complex, or who are on campuses or communities with strong connections to the Military Industrial Complex.
• Students from schools with large Black or Indigenous populations.

Individual fellows will receive a $3,000 stipend over the span of 3 months to seed a Dissenters chapter on campus. Paired fellows will receive $2,500 each ($5,000 per campus).

This application also includes the option to be considered for the academic year-long Sara Bilezikian Peace Fellowship, which would provide a $6000 stipend over the 2026-7 school year ($3000 per semester) to work specifically on anti-militarist counter-recruitment campaigns on your campus and in your community.

The goal of counter-recruitment campaigns is to disrupt the pipeline that funnels young people’s talent and labor into the Military Industrial Complex. These campaigns can take various forms:

• Organizing to prevent weapons manufacturers (e.g. General Dynamics, Lockheed Martin, Boeing) or militarized tech companies (e.g. Palantir, OpenAI, Google) from recruiting at campus job fairs.
• Launching pledge campaigns for upcoming grads to commit to not working for weapons manufacturers and surveillance technology companies and/or the military itself.
• Advocating for your campus or community to halt contracts with companies complicit in the Military Industrial Complex.
• Counter-organizing on campuses where military recruitment targets BIPOC students.
• A campaign of your own design!
