Hours: 15-20 hours per week

Pay: $15/hour

Overview of Role

Fishtank Learning is seeking a Digital Publishing Intern to support the quality assurance and ongoing improvement of Fishtank Math curriculum and digital content.

The Digital Publishing Intern will work closely with the Math Digital Publishing and Curriculum teams to review and improve existing curriculum materials and digital content. Responsibilities may include checking math problems for accuracy, identifying and fixing broken links, proofreading curriculum materials using Fishtank's style guide, reviewing website content for consistency and usability, and supporting other quality assurance projects across the Fishtank Math website.

This role is an opportunity to gain experience working with digital curriculum, educational content, and quality assurance processes within an education technology nonprofit. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, curious, organized, and interested in both mathematics and education.

Please note: This is not a curriculum writing or marketing position.

Job Responsibilities

• Support assigned quality assurance projects across Fishtank Math's digital curriculum and website
• Review math problems, examples, and solutions for mathematical accuracy and consistency
• Identify and help resolve broken links, formatting issues, and other content or website errors
• Proofread curriculum materials using Fishtank's style guide and formatting conventions
• Review units and lessons for consistency, clarity, and accuracy before they are published or updated
• Develop simple student-facing images, tables, and charts to support curriculum materials
• Document errors, inconsistencies, and recommended changes clearly and accurately
• Communicate clearly and proactively about progress, questions, blockers, and capacity
• Other related duties as assigned
• Please Note: The intern will need to provide their own computer and internet connection

Qualifications

• Some college or equivalent experience
• Interest in mathematics, K-12 education, and technology
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Strong written communication and proofreading skills
• Excellent organization and time-management skills
• Comfortable working independently and managing multiple tasks
• Able to identify inconsistencies, errors, and areas for improvement
• Receptive to feedback and willing to revise work based on feedback
• Comfortable asking questions and communicating when something is unclear
• Alignment with Fishtank Learning's core values
• Proficient in Google Workspace, especially Google Docs and Google Sheets
• Experience with digital content, curriculum, website, or quality assurance work is a plus
• Strong foundational math skills and comfort checking mathematical reasoning is a plus
• Experience with Equation Editor and Figma is a plus
