Job Summary:
The Foundation for the Mid South is seeking an energetic, responsible Summer Intern to join our growing organization. To support the Foundation’s growing work and ensure strong execution of key initiatives, we are seeking one intern for each of the Foundation’s core program areas: Education, Economic Opportunities, Community Enrichment, and Health & Wellness. Each program area has unique responsibilities, ongoing projects, and expanding partnerships that require dedicated support. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain an extensive, diverse perspective on the nonprofit sector. Interns may also have the opportunity to participate in engagement activities that require exceptional writing, research, and analytical abilities.
Each intern will support the VP of Programs and team with research aligned to their respective program area, ensuring the Foundation can effectively deliver high-quality programs throughout the year.

Summer internship dates can be flexible depending on the student’s academic schedule.
Education: Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or associate degree or graduating senior and entering an undergraduate program.

Ethical and Professional Standards:
Software Proficiency: Knowledge of specific research tools and software (e.g., Excel, Microsoft 365, and Adobe) depending on the research area.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions. This position is primarily held in an office setting and will require occasional travel.
