    BCAGlobal is a national non-profit organization advocating for equity, diversity, and social justice within the culinary, hospitality, and food systems industries. Through initiatives such as Mindful Eating for the Beloved Community and career development programs, we work to empower BIPOC professionals and bridge food access disparities in marginalized communities.

    Position Summary

    We are seeking a proactive, detailed-oriented Admin Coordinator Intern to support our executive leadership and day-to-day operations. This role bridges general administrative logistics with hands-on exposure to non-profit management, community programming, and food activism.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Administrative Support: Assist executive leadership with scheduling, calendar management, inbox organization, and preparing board meeting materials.
    • Program & Event Coordination: Help organize workshops, webinars, and network events focused on culinary equity and sustainable food systems.
    • Communications & Database Management: Maintain donor/partner databases, draft correspondence, and assist in drafting monthly newsletters and outreach updates.
    • Research & Special Projects: Conduct basic research on food policy, grants, or partner organizations to support program development.

    Qualifications & Relative Skills

    • Administrative Operations: Experience with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive), Microsoft Office, or basic CRM tools.
    • Communication Skills: Clear, professional written and verbal communication tailored to non-profit partners and community stakeholders.
    • Organization & Detail: Strong multi-tasking skills with a self-starter mindset and high attention to detail.
    • Mission Alignment: Demonstrated interest or academic background in food systems, social justice, culinary arts, public health, or hospitality.
