    WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Student Docent Intern

    About the Role: Berkshire Botanical Garden is offering an exciting Student Docent Internship for summer 2025! This paid position offers students the opportunity to share their love of gardens, art, and nature with visitors to the Garden's galleries and grounds.

    As a Student Docent Intern, you will: Welcome and engage visitors, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere, Provide information about the Leonhardt Gallery exhibits, including the living wall installation, Assist with answering visitor questions and supporting a positive guest experience, Operate the Square point-of-sale (POS) system to complete art sales, Set and disarm the security alarm for the gallery as part of opening and closing procedures, Collaborate with Garden staff to maintain the beauty and accessibility of the gallery spaces.

    Key Details: Schedule: Weekends only (12 hours per week)

    Pay: $15 per hour

    Duration: July 5 - August 31, 2025

    Qualifications: High school or college student (preferred but not required), Strong communication and interpersonal skills, Interest in art, horticulture, and public engagement, Ability to work weekends consistently through the summer, Comfortable using technology, including the Square POS system, Responsible and reliable for setting and disarming security systems Benefits: Gain valuable experience in public engagement, museum/gallery operations, and customer service, Learn about horticulture and art exhibits, Work in a beautiful garden setting with supportive staff and a dynamic visitor community
