Art in Tanzania has been operating since 1996. Our community placements attract about 250 participants annually. Our vision is to give students hands-on experience working in developing African communities. In addition to your studies, you will have an unforgettable once-in-a-lifetime experience of African culture and life, as well as fantastic nature and wildlife.
Typical nursing work placements include:
We tailor your internship placement to your background, experience, and the focus of your internship tasks. For example, the typical day includes practical fieldwork at medical entities and health advocacy in schools and community groups.
Academic-level team leaders are supervising your internship. Additionally, we monitor your progress using a weekly plan and reporting system to ensure you are making good progress in your study program.
The internship outcome is learning to use and gain experience in Africa's tropical medical sector.
The Benefits and Perks are as follows:
Accommodation and meals are personal expenses. For 1-13 weeks, EUR 175 per week covers accommodation with breakfast and dinner, the student compound facilities, and professional tutoring. From week 14 onwards, the cost is EUR 125 per week.
Airport transfer is EUR 60 one way, which is a personal expense.
A charity visa for immigration, which costs USD 50, is a personal expense. A multiple-entry visa for less than 12 months is USD 250.
We pay interns a USD 50 monthly stipend, which is small but 2x Tanzania's national minimum wage.
Flights are a personal expense.
Note that Erasmus+ funding can be applied for the Tanzania training.
