Restore hope for Vulnerable children

Our mission is to ensure that every child has access to safety, education, care, and opportunities to reach their full potential, regardless of their background, circumstances, or the challenges they have faced in life.

We are committed to restoring hope, dignity, and a sense of belonging to vulnerable, orphaned, and street-connected children by creating pathways to protection, learning, personal growth, and a brighter future. We believe that no child should be forced to live on the streets, go to bed hungry, miss out on education, or grow up without the love, support, and opportunities they deserve.

Through compassionate care, child protection, education support, digital literacy, mentorship, psychosocial support, and community engagement, we empower children to overcome adversity, rebuild their confidence, discover their potential, and become active contributors to their communities.

Our mission is not only to meet immediate needs but also to break cycles of poverty, exclusion, and vulnerability by helping children build the skills, resilience, and hope they need to create lasting change in their own lives. We envision a future where every child is safe, valued, educated, and empowered to dream beyond their circumstances and pursue a life filled with opportunity, purpose, and hope.

Restore Hope for Street Children (RHSC) is a refugee-led grassroots organization based in Kakuma Refugee Camp, Kenya. We were founded in response to the growing number of vulnerable, orphaned, and street-connected children who face poverty, neglect, limited access to education, and a lack of opportunities to thrive.

Our work is rooted in the belief that every child deserves safety, dignity, education, and the opportunity to reach their full potential. We serve children and young people from diverse backgrounds, with a particular focus on those who are at risk of exploitation, homelessness, school dropout, and social exclusion.

Through child protection, education support, mentorship, psychosocial support, digital literacy, sports and recreational activities, life skills training, and community engagement, we create safe spaces where children can learn, grow, and develop confidence in their abilities. We work closely with families, caregivers, community leaders, and partners to strengthen protective environments and promote the well-being of children.

Today, RHSC supports more than 211 children and young people, helping them reconnect with education, access essential support services, and build hope for a better future. Many of the children we serve have transitioned away from street life and are now attending school, gaining new skills, and pursuing opportunities that were previously out of reach.

As a community-led organization, we believe that lasting change happens when local people are empowered to lead solutions to the challenges they face.
