VCS CANCER FOUNDATION INC

A cancer diagnosis affects every part of a person's life and can bring with it physical, emotional and financial stress. The VCS Cancer Foundation is a Northern Virginia-based 501c (3) non profit organization dedicated to supporting the overall wellness of cancer patients. It is governed by a volunteer board of professionals and members of the community. The Foundation's Rainy Day Gift Program provides modest financial assistance to cancer patients who are struggling to pay for their everyday living expenses, such as rent, utilities and food while in treatment.

The Volunteer Program has volunteers in select Northern Virginia oncology offices. Volunteers provide comfort and companionship to patients in the infusion centers while they receive chemotherapy, immunotherapy and other treatments. Volunteers are asked to commit to a 3 hour session twice a month minimum.
