Habitat for Humanity is a international Christian ecumenical not-for-profit organization dedicated to eliminating poverty housing from the world. Habitat for Humanity builds decent affordable homes, to code. The families selected pay low, no-interest mortgage rates for only the total cost of materials used to build the house. All labor is volunteer based.
Our Rockland County, NY affiliate is committed to helping our neighbors living in substandard housing, become homeowners. Our affiliate is also partnered with Homes for Heroes of Rockland County, spreading our reach to helping the homeless veterans of our communities.
We are in need of committees to help with the behind-the-scenes ation that makes building houses for these families to call home, a possibility.
