Iron Gate at Trinity, Inc

Sobre Nós

Iron Gate began in 1984 with the dedication and hospitality of Trinity Episcopal Church Parishioners. Parishioners made sandwiches and began feeding all hungry and often homeless who entered through the iron gate into the cloister garden. The word quickly spread among the hungry that you could get a meal "at the Iron Gate".

Although Iron Gate has been housed in Trinity Episcopal Church since its inception, it has no religious affiliation and is a separate nonprofit organization. The church provides space, utilities and some administrative support without charge.

Iron Gate's mission is to feed the hungry and homeless of Tulsa every day. We are open 365 days a year serving a hot meal 8:30am to 10:30am. We do grocery assistance Friday and Saturday mornings.

Iron Gate's philosphy is that everyone who walks through our doors should be treated with respect and dignity. They are our guests.

In 2011, we served 250,000 people through the soup ktichen and grocery pantry.
