Founded in 1995 as a 501c(3) nonprofit organization, Habitat for Humanity of Summit & Wasatch Counties, Utah is one of the more than 1,500 affiliates working at the grassroots level in more than 70 countries helping to transform lives and communities through affordable housing.

Mission: Habitat brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope, and envisions a world where everyone has a decent place to live within our service area and around the world. Habitat for Humanity is committed to:

· Providing affordable housing

· Eliminating substandard housing

· Rehabilitating and preserving homes

· Advocating for fair and just housing policies

· Providing education and resources to help families achieve economic stability

Locally, our service area includes Summit and Wasatch Counties, and consists of a unique combination of geographies covering 3,000 square miles of predominantly rural agricultural communities surrounding upscale ski resorts. For more than 20 years, we have been dedicated to meeting the affordable housing needs of our unique community, where housing is a prevalent and growing issue. We offer a unique combination of programs that includes 1) new home builds; 2) financial education, advocacy and referrals. People in our community and around the world partner with Habitat to build or improve a place they can call home. Together, we don’t just build homes, we build better lives.
