NewBeginnings Charitable Trust is a registered non-profit working to empower women and children from the vulnerable indigenous rural communities in Andhra Pradesh, India.

MISSION: Conforming to the provisions of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and targeting primarily SDGs 1, 3, 4, 5, 8, and 13.

NewBeginnings works towards the eradication of poverty and inequality and to impact lives with a significant difference in the quality of life of the marginalized, women, and children.

We’re dedicated to creating positive changes in the lives of women, children, and the marginalized—vulnerable groups—all who envision a happier, rights-based, and deeply satisfying life.

NCT is a nonprofit working at the grassroots level to create increasingly developed, rights-based, equal, and self-sustaining communities.

We aspire to eradicate poverty and hunger principally in rural areas, which account for 68% of the total population of India. Poverty is the source of many social evils, such as child labor, human trafficking, illiteracy, human rights violations, and famine.

NCT concentrates on the socio-economic empowerment of women as a proven way to promote gender equality and to eradicate poverty.

NCT is based in Vijayawada, India. We are currently a team of ten staff members and around 50 local and international volunteers who join us throughout the year.

• NCT’s Theory of Change envisions safe, inclusive, and empowered communities in Andhra Pradesh where women, children, and youth thrive free from violence, poverty, exclusion, environmental degradation, educational inequity, and substance abuse. Through prevention, response, advocacy, and capacity building, NCT works to transform systems, shift social norms, and empower individuals to achieve their full potential.
• Pillars and Core Change Pathways
  • Safe and Rights-Based Communities: If communities and systems are strengthened to prevent and respond to gender-based violence while ensuring access to justice, psychosocial support, and economic empowerment, then women will live in safe, inclusive environments and lead resilient lives.
  • Zero Poverty: If the impact of crises on individuals is mitigated, access to basic services is promoted, and economic systems are inclusive, then marginalized individuals will have better opportunities for financial independence and economic empowerment.
  • Zero Exclusion: If social capital is strengthened and all individuals, including the most vulnerable, co-create governance systems that meet their needs, then societies will enable all individuals to exercise their rights.
  • Zero Carbon: If ecosystems are resilient, citizens drive environmental protection, infrastructure supports sustainable resource use, and economic systems are responsible, then future generations will inherit a healthy planet.
  • Education and Empowerment of Girls: If girls are enrolled and retained in school, supported through life skills education, and barriers are removed, then they will avoid early marriage, child labor, and trafficking and grow into empowered individuals.
