Maya Angelou Public Charter Schools
Missão
Our mission is to create learning communities in lower income urban areas where at-risk youth can grow academically and socially. At Maya Angelou, our students develop academic, social, and employment skills they new to build rewarding lives.
We currently need volunteers to serve as one-on-one tutors/mentors to students, primarily in grades 9-12, to develop a special relationship with students while working on academic skills during the school year.

Maya Angelou Public Charter Schools is committed to providing a comprehensive education in a non-traditional setting. We achieve this through a demanding academic program, socio-emotional learning support, and tiered interventions that focus on the whole child. The organization includes Maya Angelou Public Charter High School and the Young Adult Learning Center.
