Description and mission of organisation
BogotArt Foundation is dedicated to promoting a more democratic art world by engaging at-risk young adults in cultural endeavors. BogotArt reintegrates youth from vulnerable groups by providing them with a professional art education, connecting them to employment opportunities in creative industries, and offering a means of self-expression that detaches them from their difficult environments.
Main activities of the organisation
- Empowering at-risk youth to access employment opportunities in creative industries by teaching relevant skills.
- Promoting peace, environmental protection and positive messages for society through the use of art.
- Promoting a more democratic art world by involving at-risk youth and marginalized neighborhoods in the creation of cultural expressions, as well as taking artworks to places where art usually plays a minimal role (marginalized neighborhoods and slums).
