River House Adult Day Center

River House Adult Day Center is a 501(c)(3) agency founded in 1977. We strive to enrich the lives of older adults in a fun, healthy and engaging environment. Caregivers gain peace of mind knowing they have a place to find answers and support throughout their journey. Today, our average daily attendance is 40 members per day while we service over 140 unduplicated seniors or older adults per year.

The senior populations in Greenwich and Stamford are growing and many are not ready for an assisted living facility or nursing home – they want to stay at home with their friends and family. River House understands this need while also understanding that it is a big responsibility for the families. We are a medical model day center, which allows the caregiver to have the comfort knowing their loved one is being monitored by a registered nurse while our recreation staff gives the senior a fun and engaging day!
