For over 35 years, Garden State Episcopal Community Development Corporation (GSECDC) has provided housing opportunities to a broad spectrum of Hudson County residents from Bayonne to Weehawken. From sheltering chronically homeless individuals to offering hard-working low-and moderate-income families a chance to purchase a home that fits their budget to developing affordable rentals and beyond, GSECDC houses Hudson County with a continuum of options no other agency offers. To date GSECDC has developed over 300 units of safe, decent, affordable housing and provides 200 units of permanent supportive housing for homeless individuals and families that include comprehensive case management wrap around services to ensure continued housing stability.

GSECDC is also committed to building better communities, and spearheaded the implementation of the “I Love Greenville” Neighborhood Partnership that empowers the residents, businesses, and stakeholders, to improve their own community as well as bring in new financial resources through a state tax credit program to accomplish this.

GSECDC is dedicated to ending homelessness in Hudson County and is the lead agency in this effort. In 2014, GSECDC implemented the Hudson CASA Coordinated Entry Program for homeless individuals and families in the County, and serves over 3500 homeless persons annually. Partnering with the Hudson County, Jersey City, Union City, City of Bayonne, and the City of Weehawken administrations, the program is able to provide street outreach, immediate emergency shelter, food, clothing and hygiene needs through PERC Shelter (a subsidiary of GSECDC) and our Jersey City based Drop In Center, Rapid Re-housing financial assistance, linkages to Permanent Supportive Housing Programs, medical and mental health services, and Mainstream Resources, all with the end goal of obtaining safe, decent, and affordable permanent housing.
