The Evanston In-School Music Association (EISMA) empowers elementary and middle school students with a knowledge of and an appreciation for the diversity and influence of the world's music. While enriching their cultural perspective, students are enabled to experience the joy of music both as an art form and as a means of personal creative expression.
Each year EISMA presents two Concerts for Kids series to over 7,500 students in their schools. Over the course of their years in District 65, from grade K to grade 8, students have the opportunity to participate in eighteen different professional music programs representative of the diverse ethnic community of Evanston/Skokie.
