Tallgrass Theatre Company

Tallgrass Theatre Company strives to enrich the greater Des Moines community by providing a venue for new and unique performance work that is both entertaining and evocative.

TTC reaches for these goals by:

• Performing original collaborative works as well as the works of established playwrights
• Reaching out to community members who may not normally patronize the theatre
• Providing an outlet for local talent to explore and develop
• Encouraging company members to become involved in multiple aspects of productions

Tallgrass is a small yet mighty theatre group in West Des Moines. We produce three shows a year in the Rex Mathes building at 1401 Vine St. Our seasons consist of two published works, as well as the Iowa Playwrights Workshop, an annual event where we develop and produce a brand-new work by an Iowa playwright.

We welcome any and all who would like to help us toward our goals. No experience necessary - just a desire to have fun, work hard and make new friends!
