Naugatuck Valley Project

The Naugatuck Valley Project, Inc. is a network of faith-based congregations, local labor organizations, and affordable housing cooperative communities in the Naugatuck Valley dedicated to addressing the root causes of social injustice and working in the public arena to bring about fundamental change in our communities, region, state, and nation. NVP trains leaders to identify issues of concern, research the issues, develop positive workable solutions for change regarding the issues, and act together to bring about desired change. 

Naugatuck Valley Project programs are currently focused on improving the environment, public health outcomes, the lack of quality affordable housing in the Naugatuck Valley, and empowering domestic workers. All are issues that have been raised up by NVP members. NVP efforts greatly benefit public life in the Naugatuck Valley.  Our mission is to unite our member organizations around their common faith and democratic values, and teach their leaders how to organize to take public action for the common good.
