Global Education and Research Alliance

Global Education and Research Alliance (GERA), Inc. is a non-for-profit, non-governmental organization committed to supporting students and young professionals in their pursuit of excellence in academia, industry, and the arts by providing specialized life-mapping services. Through the use of mentor-based programs, we are building a new generation of entrepreneurial and academic leaders – young men and women possessed of the training and confidence necessary for building up a better tomorrow.

GERA’s six pillars are:

1. Promotion of Literacy and Academics

An educated citizenship has historically been a source of great economic growth in civil society. For this reason, GERA aims to promote academics and literacy across all areas of education, building up a more educated, competent, and qualified populace to face the challenges of the future. These men and women are the core drivers of societal progress, and their development is of key importance to us.

2. Advancement of Research and Knowledge

Research is the tool by which the world expands its knowledge. Many people, especially students, lack the necessary training and technology to conduct important research projects, projects that could result in critical breakthroughs. GERA believes strongly in the importance of research and the need to support students in reaching their goals across all disciplines. We offer access to research materials and advanced technology in order to encourage student-led discoveries.

3. Encouragement of Entrepreneurship and Innovation

Entrepreneurial skills are important not only in business but also in day-to-day life. Our organization is committed to teaching its members essential entrepreneurial skills to improve their local communities as well as their individual efforts. In addition, innovation has long been a principal driver of global economies. Through our support for innovation, GERA commits itself to the strengthening of communities around the world.

4. Talent Discovery and Development

Many talented people throughout the world, students in particular, lack the opportunity to achieve their full potential. GERA understands and appreciates the inherent value of every individual and aims to find, support, and develop their unique abilities.

5. Enhancing Multicultural Acceptance

Diversity is an important asset that provides complimentary points of view on a host of issues, resulting in more permanent, comprehensive solutions. GERA is committed to assisting international students on their entire academic journey in the United States.

6. General Student Support

GERA aims to be a one-stop hub for all students who strive for success. Our goal is a single, unified voice for students — a powerful and yet relatively unorganized group in many societies. We value students’ opinions and vow to support them in all capacities to the best of our abilities.

Our headquarters is located in Washington, DC with affiliate offices in NJ, NY, CA, and the Republic of Armenia. The organization plans to open up additional affiliate chapters across the United States as well as in countries around the world.

GERA currently has 24 unique and innovative programs to offer its members and has partnered with leading companies and organizations to help in its cause. We want to create a generation of positive change – a group of leaders equipped with academic knowledge, entrepreneurial experience and professional skills; innovators ready to develop and realize new ideas that will change our planet for the better.

GERA focuses its attention on a wide range of interconnected issues such as drop-out rate reduction and financial literacy, serving as liaison between international students and educational institutions. Our members have a chance to dramatically increase their knowledge and skills through exposure to our various resources and personalized programs, all of which are designed to maximize their potential in an ever changing, highly competitive, global society.
