    About Renaissance 50+

Recent research has shown a decline in volunteering among baby boomers (50 years-plus). This is problematic to community agencies that look to them for their experience and effort, as well as to the boomers who are missing out on the benefits of volunteering.

Funded by the Ontario Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration and implemented by the Catholic Immigration Centre (CIC), Renaissance 50+ was an 18-month long project that addressed this hurdle by developing and testing activities that would increase the involvement of young seniors in community non-profit pursuits.
