Empowerment of Marginalized Communities(E-MAC Tanzania)

Founded in 2013, E-MAC Tanzania is a national NGO committed to improving the lives of marginalized communities across Tanzania. We focus on water and sanitation, health, economic empowerment, and climate resilience guided by values of equity, transparency, and innovation.

Driven by a deep belief in dignity and social justice, E-MAC works alongside women, youth, and underserved populations to create lasting change through community-led solutions. From fighting harmful practices like female genital mutilation (FGM) to increasing access to reproductive health services, from supporting young mothers with entrepreneurship training also leading the community in planting thousands of trees and introducing Alternative Income Generating Activities to reduce resilience on natural resources to combat climate change, we equip communities with the tools, knowledge, and support systems they need. Even further enhancing local capacity and resilience, and voice they need to build better futures.
