Sobre Nós

HAT manages development projects in Tanzania by partnering with Tanzanian NGOs and helping to finance development efforts. HAT's mission is to improve the health of rural communities in Tanzania by providing access to health-related facilities and information, empowering local communities in Tanzania, and engagement with Australians. HAT was founded in 2005 and has over 100 members in Australia and overseas. All projects must be development projects and be sustainable. Examples of types of HAT projects include the construction of wells and primary health facilities, the establishment of village governance and health outreach structures to improve healthcare, and health education. HAT welcomes new members. Membership is A$25 per year for standard members and A$60 for passionate members. Membership fees help HAT to cover adminstrative costs, so that 100% of funds raised through fundraising goes directly to Tanzania. We negotiate all costs to the best possible price. HAT is has no paid staff, it is run by volunteers. HAT runs many fundraising activities such as fun run, trivia nights, sausage sizzles etc.
