Where We’ve Been

McREL is a non-profit education research and development organization that turns knowledge about what works in education into practical, effective guidance and training for K–12 teachers and education leaders across the U.S. and around the world. Since our founding in 1966, we’ve evolved and expanded, but our core mission remains: to help educators flourish by turning research into co-created solutions that transform teaching, learning, and leading.

Our heart and soul have remained true to our mission, and we’re more passionate than ever about helping educators, leaders, and students thrive. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization headquartered in Denver, Colorado, McREL continues its mission as one of the premier providers of research, guidance and contextualized solutions for teaching, learning, and leading that support more equitable student outcomes.
