House of Hope empowers youth experiencing homelessness by providing a path to stability through emergency shelter and ongoing supportive services. We envision a future where every youth has a home.

House of Hope was founded in 2000 by community members who noticed a gap in services for young people and their children experiencing homelessness. House of Hope created a program that affects real change, centering client voices in the programs and services offered. House of Hope is the only program in Northeastern Wisconsin that specifically provides emergency shelter and supportive services relative to the intense needs of young people and their children.

House of Hope works to respond to the needs of the most vulnerable members of our community by expanding the services offered, increasing the number of clients served, and working alongside our clients to create innovative programs and collaborations.

Both the CDC and the WHO recognize housing as a significant social determinant of health. House of Hope's programming provides emergency shelter and intensive case management that ultimately connects our clients to safe, permanent housing.

A 2025 Impact Study showed that in Brown County, Wisconsin, Housing is Healthcare. Over the last 10 years, Brown County children experiencing homelessness who accessed permanent housing through programs like those at House of Hope, saw a 76% decline in emergency room usage after being housed. In one year, House of Hope’s programs saved more than $950,000 in unnecessary ER costs in a single year.

House of Hope provides much needed aid and security to young families who are working hard to become independent and self-sufficient. It helps us build the bridge, until they become strong enough to do it on their own.
