Lad Lake has been evolving to meet the needs of Wisconsin’s most vulnerable children for nearly 170 years. Serving more than 1400 youth annually Lad Lake strives to meet the needs of today’s at-risk youth. 95% of the young people in our care come from a family in crisis. Many have been abused or severely neglected. Simply put Lad Lake is the emergency room of the child welfare system. Whether its support for foster kids, a safe haven for exploited and abused girls, remedial academic help, behavioral therapy for young people involved in the juvenile justice system or mentors for troubled youth Lad Lake provides proven programs that strengthen families and heal lives.
