Feeding Washington

Who We Are:

Feeding Washington is Washington’s statewide association of food bank distribution organizations. Our mission is to collaboratively develop a strong statewide infrastructure that effectively leverages resources to expand systemic capacity and provide maximum benefit to people experiencing hunger.

Our Vision

Feeding Washington was built on the belief that our system’s leaders must collaborate in order to effectively build a statewide system with the capacity to end hunger in Washington. We believe that we can accomplish more together than we can independently, and that creating alignment and a shared vision will make our networked system stronger and more effective. We recognize that Washington’s hunger relief system utilizes and requires significant amounts of resources, and we believe that we should be active stewards, accountable for using them in a coordinated, effective and efficient manner. Together, we will chart a course for systemic investment that helps us use our collective strength.

Feeding Washington is working to build a centralized table where distributors can come together as active allies in support of each other and our shared mission. At this table we’ll work collaboratively to develop projects and programs that benefit our system as a whole, and we’ll create partnerships that help us avoid silos and competition for resources. We believe that collaboration at the distribution center level is imperative to be effective partners to each other, and to best serve local agencies and people facing hunger.
