The mission of The National Food Recovery Alliance (NFRA) is to advance the edible food recovery industry through collaborative, solution-focused initiatives that identify and support industry-best practices. The NFRA contributes to positioning edible food recovery as an essential and sustainable feature of the U.S. food system through increasing the visibility, inclusion, and endorsement of food rescue organizations.

The vision of the National Food Recovery Alliance (NFRA) is to act as a neutral connector, dedicated to fostering collaboration and mutual support among mission-driven, systems-focused food recovery organizations of all sizes across the nation. As new food recovery initiatives continue to emerge, it is crucial for industry leaders to share insights, set standards, and create an inclusive and collaborative field. Membership with NFRA grants organizations credibility through a shared commitment to these values and benchmarks.
