Prescott Alternative Transportation

is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Prescott, AZ and serving the central Yavapai community. We act as the voice for those who cannot or choose not to drive a car to every destination, whether for health, environmental, or financial reasons. Through education and advocacy, PAT has been guiding the Prescott area towards a future with safe and convenient transportation options since 1997.

Our mission: “Working towards a bicycle and pedestrian-friendly central Yavapai community.” The most important word is “friendly,” because it emphasizes the positive. Every step we take is in the direction of the positive, community-wide effects of incorporating alternative modes of transportation. We are here to help everyone reach that understanding.

Our vision: We envision a transportation and trails system that enriches our central Yavapai community by providing mobility for all, regardless of car ownership, age or ability. A seamless bicycle, pedestrian and public transit network invites our citizens to leave their cars at home, thereby saving them money, encouraging healthy activity, and promoting energy independence.
